It was an extraordinary morning at NPS CHKB, on the 18th of August 2014. The KG 1 children both boys and girls all dressed like teachers, doctors, police, chefs, defence officials, farmers, milk men etc.... The view of these children walking in the school campus kept the principal, staff and support staff spell bound and shocked for the simple reason of how serious, at the same time how excited they were of the roll they played on the theme "Community Helpers". It was amazing to see them slip into the character of service helpers which was the E.V.S theme for the week. The activity involved every child speak of the community helper they represented and the role they play in our society including the duties they render in our daily life. This helped them memorise the different jobs and responsibilities individuals have in their communities. Apart from the duty and service of each community helper were embossed in their little minds as they walked the ramp, exhibiting costumes and talent. Teachers are sure the theme "community helpers" will be an everlasting memory as they socialized with friends enquiring and questioning each other with curiosity. The activity also rolled out new vocabulary like duties, discipline, sick, medicine, security etc... Enriching children with knowledge about the world around them. It was noticed, how thirsty they were for information as they learnt the jobs and roles of each community helper through songs, art, models and pictures. Teachers could view the ambitions of each child as they carried of their costumes and instruments.

We appreciate all parents' efforts and kudos to each and every child in kg 1
