Krishna Janmashtami, marking the birth of Lord Krishna, was celebrated at NPS, Ckbnr on August 26, 2024.
Splendid and colourful perfomances dedicated to Lord Krishna were staged by the students in the special assembly.
Pre-primary and Kindergarten children came dressed in ethnic wear as Radha and Krishna. Little Krishnas, with their peacock feathered crowns, flutes and yellow dhotis, alongside graceful Radhas in colourful lehengas and traditional jewellery captivated the audience with their innocence and charm.
One of the most anticipated activity of the day was the ‘Matka Phod’ competition. The competition was held among the four school houses – Athena, Eos, Eirene and Nike. Students representing their houses formed the pyramids to break the pot. Eos amd Eirene houses emerged as the winners of the Matka Phod activity.
The event filled with excitement and cheers, brought the celebration to life with students and teachers alike enjoying the festive atmosphere. The activity was conducted with utmost care and supervision, ensuring safety of the students while allowing them to enjoy the festive spirit.
The festival of Krishna Janmashtami, that symbolises the end of darkness provided a rich cultural and spiritual experience for students.
