DEEPANJALI – 2024-25

On 30th October, NPS Ckbnr came alive with vibrant colours and festive spirit as students, teachers and staff gathered to celebrate Deepavali. The celebrations began with a special assembly. Pre-primary and Grade V students performed to the beautiful dance sequence that depicted the festive spirit. Adding to the celebratory atmosphere, the school choir sang a melodious song followed by speech on the significance of Deepavali, the festival of lights.
As part of the Deepanjali Fest, various competitions were organised, allowing students to showcase their creativity and skills. The events included Diya Decoration, Toran Making, Swastik and Thali Decoration Competitions for the students of Grades I to VII. The students displayed their artistic flair in the Diya Decoration Competition transforming simple earthen diyas into beautiful, colourful pieces that lit up the spirit of the festival.
Toran and Swastik Making Competitions were equally engaging, with students designing unique Torans that embodied the traditional welcome and festive cheer associated with Deepavali. Using a variety of materials, such as beads, flowers, leaves and coloured threads, they crafted exquisite Torans and Swastiks that were a true reflection of our cultural heritage.
Thali decoration competition saw students adorning their plates with a blend of traditional and modern themes. The thalis were decorated with elements like flowers, rangoli designs, and decorative items.
Grades IX and X students participated in the Inter-House Rangoli Competition. The Deepanjali Fest was not only a celebration of Deepavali but also an opportunity for students to connect with their cultural roots and learn the significance of traditional festivals.
