The Investiture Ceremony was held at National Public School, Ckbnr on July 13 for the Academic Year 2024 – 25.
It was a moment of pride, responsibility and joy for the newly elected student council members who assumed office on that day.
The ceremony was graced by the esteemed Chief Guest Dr. Mamtha B R, IAS, Inspector General of Registration and Commissioner of stamps.
The Chief Guest was received and led to the auditorium by the NCC Sergeant Chirag R Giri and Sergeant Shruti Ranjan.
The occasion began with a ceremonial lighting of the auspicious lamp which was followed by the school prayer sung by the school choir.
Senior School Principal, Ms Priyanka Suresh welcomed the gathering and presented a brief report of the Student Council Election, explaining the democratic process involved throughout. She also handed over a detailed report to the CEO.
The student council members marched spritely and majestically in synchronous with the beating of the drums to receive their sashes and badges. The House Masters who handed over the flags to their respective House Captains also received their badges from the CEO.
Senior School Principal, Ms Priyanka Suresh formally inducted the newly elected council members with an oath.
CEO Ms Preethi Reddy congratulated the council members and urged them to be respectful, responsible, resourceful, resilient and reliable.
The Chief Guest Dr. Mamatha B R, IAS in her address, congratulated the new appointees and encouraged them to excel in their roles, emphasising the importance of dedication and integrity.
Speaking on the occasion, Student Council President, Mohnish expressed his gratitude to the school management and staff for giving him the opportunity and support. He also thanked all the fellow students and assured them that they would work together in creating a positive and inclusive school community.
We at NPS, Ckbnr believe in acquainting students with democratic concepts, including the importance of elections and the role of elected representatives in a parliamentary system. Student Council will oversee the school activities for the current academic year through its various sub-committees.
The program culminated with the National Anthem.
