NPS, CKBNR CELEBRATES ANNUAL JUNIOR SCHOOL SPORTS DAY 2024-25

The Junior School Sports Day 2024, themed ‘Wildspace’, on November 29, 2024 was a spectacular celebration that combined the wonders of the universe with the untamed energy of the jungle.
The event held at the School Ground brought together students, parents and faculty in a joyous display of creativity, teamwork and sportsmanship.
The event began with a grand welcome of the esteemed Chief Guest, Ms. Khudsiya Nasreen, an International Masters Weightlifting Champion and World Record Holder, accompanied by the CEO, Ms. Preethi Reddy, Senior School Principal Ms. Priyanka Suresh and Junior School Principal Ms. Rajee Samjith. The NCC cadets escorted the guests with pride and precision marking the beginning of an extraordinary day.
The ceremonial hoisting of the school flag by the Chief Guest signalled the official start of ‘Wildspace’, followed by The School Anthem, filling the atmosphere with unity and pride. A colourful Walk Past by students from Pre-Nursery to Grade II showcased their enthusiasm, each grade representing themes inspired by galaxies, planets, animals and the jungle.
Junior School Principal Ms. Rajee Samjith delivered the welcome address, introducing the Chief Guest and setting the tone for the day. While addressing the students, Ms Khudsiya Nasreen in her inspiring speech, emphasised participation, perseverance and the joy of sports. The athletes then took an oath, pledging their commitment to fair play, teamwork and sportsmanship. The ceremony concluded with the release of balloons symbolising hope, energy and excitement.
‘Wildspace’, the journey unfolded through captivating performances:
• KG II students introduced the Galaxy theme with a vibrant dance drill, embodying the energy of the Sun and the boundless potential of young athletes.
• Pre-Primary novelty races, including the Twinkling Stars Race, brought smiles and cheers as the youngest stars lit up the field.
• Jungle Journey Display featured Grades I and II forming a flower of the jungle, while Grades III to V showcased dynamic themes inspired by the peacock, zebra and other jungle elements.
• Stunning Yoga and Taekwondo displays demonstrated strength, flexibility and discipline.
The special addition to the event was a surprise game for parents that added laughter and excitement proving that the adults were just as energetic and spirited as the children. The event celebrated the achievements of young athletes with a prize distribution.
Principal Senior School, Ms. Priyanka Suresh addressed the students and congratulated them for the wonderful displays and also encouraged students to pursue sports with passion and dedication. The CEO Ms. Preethi Reddy in her address commended the teachers and students for their efforts in putting together such a vibrant and spectacular show and appreciated the students for showcasing exceptional talent.
The day concluded with a memento presented to the Chief Guest and the Sports Day Retreat, where the school flag was lowered. A heartfelt vote of thanks followed expressing gratitude to all participants and contributors. The National Anthem marked the end of an unforgettable day.
