National Public School, Ckbnr celebrated the 76th Republic Day on January 26th, 2025 with the hoisting of the national flag by Principal, Senior School Ms Priyanka Suresh accompanied by the Staff and Students. As the tricolour fluttered proudly in the sky, the gathering stood to sing the National Anthem, filling the atmosphere with pride and patriotism. Following the flag hoist, sweets and chocolates were distributed to all the students and staff members.
Special Celebrations
To commemorate this significant day in advance, a special assembly was conducted by the Grade VII students on January 25th, 2025.
The special assembly began with a prayer song followed by the speeches. Ahana, a Grade VII student, delivered a heartfelt speech about the importance of Republic Day and its significance in India’s journey as a democratic nation. Her words highlighted the spirit of unity, freedom and equality that Republic Day represents.
Another highlight of the event was when Ayush, a Grade VII dressed as Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, delivered an inspiring speech on the significance of the Indian Constitution. The speech shed light on the values of equality, justice and liberty enshrined in the Constitution.
Adding to the patriotic fervour, the school choir performed the iconic song “Saare Jahaan Se Accha Hindustan Hamara,” which resonated with everyone present and filled the atmosphere with pride and unity.
The Senior School Principal Ms Priyanka Suresh and Junior School Principal Ms Rajee Samjit addressed the gathering, emphasising the importance of the Constitution in shaping the nation’s democratic fabric. They encouraged students to uphold the values of the Constitution in their everyday lives.
The Republic Day theme for this year is “Swarnim Bharat: Virasat aur Vikas” (Golden India: Legacy and Progress) which will highlight India’s rich cultural legacy and hopes for a brighter future.
