‘Students of today are the leaders of tomorrow’
In order to provide a platform to develop leadership qualities amongst the students, we at NPS CKBNR went to the polls on Saturday, June 22, 2024 to elect the student council members for the Academic Year 2024-25.
The event was inaugurated by the CEO Ms. Preethi Reddy who casted her vote too. Speaking to the Safarnaama skill class student reporters, CEO Ms. Preethi Reddy opined that the student council elections were conducted with an idea to create an environment where every student can voice out their concern.
Nominees were selected and judged based on their academic performance, co-scholastics and general behaviour. The voters received an identification mark on their index finger as a sign of participation. A sense of secrecy and respect for voting was maintained in the election process throughout.
The Annual Student Council Elections for the Post of Student Council President, Vice President, Sports Captain, Sports Vice-Captain, Cultural Head, Editorial Head and all the four House Captains and Vice Captains were held in the School Computer Lab.
The election process that went on for two hours was followed by counting of the votes which was diligently carried out by the School Administration Department. A few selected student representatives were part of the counting process as to witness and also to rule out any fraud or malpractice.
All the students from Grades VI to XII and teachers casted their votes through the online voting system. The results were declared by the end of the day.
