“Love for reading never dies but it spreads all over.”
National Public School, Chikkabanavara observed Literary Week with an array of activities throughout the week from July 15th to July 19th, 2024.
The literary week, aimed at bringing the students closer to the magic of language and literature, was packed with a variety of engaging activities and competitions for students from Grades I to XII, to take part and demonstrate their literary talents. The objective was to ignite young minds and foster a love for reading and storytelling.
Students from Grades I & II participated in the activities which included Spellathon, Visual Guessing Game, Word Parade, Blend Fest, Rhyme Bingo, Creative Writing, Pictionary, Word building and Young Imagination.
Students of Grades III, IV and V participated in Storytelling, Poem Recitation and Character Portrayal Competitions. The stories ranged from traditional folklore to fairy tales.
Grades VI-XII had Inter- House Competitions which included Storytelling Competition for students of Grade VI, Elocution for students of Grade VII and Declamation for the students of Grade VIII students. Students from Grade IX-XII actively participated in the Inter-House Debate Competition.
The competitions helped students improve their public speaking and narrative skills. We at NPS, Ckbnr look forward to organising similar events in the future to continue nurturing the literary talents of our students.
