WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY – PRE-PRIMARY – 2024

The future Environmentalists of National Public School, Ckbnr observed the World Environment Day with great enthusiasm and joy on Wednesday, the 5th of June 2024.

They dressed up in green outfits, symbolising the lushness of our planet. The day began with a session where the children listened intently to the importance of protecting and conserving our planet. The junior school principal, Ms. Rajee Samjith emphasised on the importance of trees in our environment and encouraged the tiny-tots to take small but significant steps, such as reducing paper usage. She said that when we use tissue papers, we must do so sparingly. By doing so, we contribute to the preservation of our forests and help maintain a healthier planet for future generations. Children sang a song about the Earth, their voices blending together in a sweet harmony that filled the room with hope and joy.

Following this, they embarked on a nature walk. Each child took turns with the watering can, their faces lit up with the joy of contributing something to the environment. Teachers guided them gently, explaining the importance of nurturing plants and the role they play in keeping our planet healthy. The garden at National Public School, Ckbnr stood as a testament to the collective effort and hope for a greener future.

As the day came to a close, each child took home a takeaway that was crafted with care, emphasising the importance of protecting our planet. The joy and excitement on their faces were palpable as they shared stories of how they would contribute to a greener world. The initiative not only educated the young minds about environmental stewardship but also fostered a sense of responsibility and connection to nature.

It was indeed a day filled with joy, learning, and hope, leaving a lasting impression on these young minds who would carry the torch of environmentalism into the future.
