Academic Curriculum

National Public School, Chikkabanavara, has programmed a diverse and specialized curriculum, which helps the child to develop critical thinking, and problem-solving.

Curriculum development is therefore a permanent feature of this educational institution. Innovations are encouraged for an effective symbiotic relationship between teaching and learning to help imbibe the different perspectives within each subject area. The students become participants in learning, not just merely securing a body of knowledge, so that their learning becomes linked to their life outside the school.

Spirited participation in seminars, symposiums, discussions, publications, dramatics, public speaking and other activities that enhance concentration and classroom learning, enable students to acquire learning skills required for an overall intellectual, psychological and social growth.

With the help of the guidelines prescribed by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), our faculty members prepare the curriculum for the Kindergarten, Primary and Middle Schools. This is reinforced by an autonomous Syllabus in Science and Mathematics prepared by a panel of experts and teachers of the various National Public Schools. The Senior Secondary Section strictly adheres to the curriculum prescribed by the CBSE.

The Montessori

It is a THREE year programme.

The wonderful and enchanting world of Montessori beckons you as you step into the beautiful environs of National Public School, Chikkabanavara, Bangalore. The prepared Montessori environment enables children to work with freedom with specific materials for specific concepts.

Individual and social development is fostered in each child by a unique method of mixed age groups in the same environment. Here, the children of age groups 3 to 6 years come together to form health communities where there is a spontaneous and harmonious interaction.

Children work towards their inner construction by purposeful activities under the able guidance of trained teachers. Children settle down in the environment, perfect their co-ordination, gradually lengthen their concentration and then the creativity exhibited by them is incredible.

The sensorial material helps them distinguish, categorise and become aware of physical properties of matter around them like dimensions, colour texture and shapes.
