BLUE COLOUR DAY 2021-22

‘Blue has no dimensions; it is beyond all dimensions.’

The colour of the month – ‘Blue’ symbolizing serenity, stability, inspiration, wisdom and health, was celebrated offline and online on the 29th of October 2021. The students and teachers of National Public School, Chikkabanavara were dressed in different shades of blue for their virtual classes.
The significance of the blue colour was reiterated through a series of activities that were conducted during class hours. An offline special assembly was conducted for the students of Grades IX to XII wherein the students of Grade XI demonstrated the reaction of CuSO4 Copper Sulphate with NH3 Ammonia Solution.
The students of the pre-primary section were introduced to the colour blue through a Power Point Presentation. They were kept engaged in activities like Colouring, Craft Making, Rhymes and Talks on Blue Colour.

The Teachers of Grades I-XII related the colour to their subjects and conducted various activities during their virtual class hours. There were discussions on the biological importance of the blue pigment ‘PHYCOCYANIN’, significance and facts of the colour blue, its importance in our National flag, the Psychology behind colours in games and sports, role of microorganisms in making blue cheese, discussions on idioms and phrases with the word blue, Blue Flag Beaches in India, significance of blue colour in Windows 7 operating systems and the list goes on…

The activities conducted encouraged the students to think critically, become more conscious of their surroundings and enhanced their communication skills.
