KANNADA RAJYOTSAVA CELEBRATION 2021-22

‘Knowledge of Languages is the door way to wisdom’

Kannada Rajyotsava, also known as Karnataka Formation Day or Karnataka Day, is celebrated on 1st November every year. It is a day when the state rejoices in the true spirit of Kannada Language.

Kannada Rajyotsava was celebrated in a grand way at National Public School, Chikkabanavara on the 11th and 12th of November 2021. The teachers came dressed in shades of yellow and red which signify forgiveness and bravery respectively. The students of Grade VI-XII participated in offline and online assemblies and activities conducted by the teachers of the Kannada Department.

The festivities were spread over two days. On day one a speech depicting the glory of Karnataka followed by a melodious song “Hacchevu Kanndada Deepa” and a small act on Sri Krishnadevaraya, one of the greatest emperors of India was enacted. The students also participated in Vachanagala Gayana and speeches in Kannada. They also displayed their creativity by participating in Book Mark Making, Advertisement Presentation and preparing Bhithi Patra.

The next day began with a guided tour of all the wonderful historic monuments of the state. The students were also given an insight into the traditional village life of Karnataka. A small enactment on the life of Abbakav Devi, the warrior queen was showcased.

The two-day offline celebration came to an end by the rendition of the State Anthem in a mellifluous tune with utmost reverence.

Parallelly Kannada Rajyotsava celebrations were also conducted online with the same enthusiasm for Grades I-V. The students dressed in yellow and red took part in the Special Assembly, Quizzes, Folk Songs, Poem Recitation, Story Narration etc.

We must have respect and love for our language and appreciate our culture.

JAI KARNATAKA!
